You might have noticed a bit of activity around Victoria Street lately.
Along with Deputy Mayor Gordon Lambeth, Councillor Snow Tane and Councillor Josephine Nathan, I popped down earlier this week to see how things were coming along with our "Spring into Summer" refresh of Dargaville’s town centre.
Some of the work is already done, like new linemarking, street cleaning, varnishing the pedestrian islands, painting the tables by the rotunda, and new planting, and there’s still more to come - including waterblasting and more planting.
Massive thanks to the council staff and Downer crews doing the work, and to the Dargaville Community Development Board for working alongside us to give the town centre a refresh heading into summer.
