Olsen Avenue stormwater upgrade

Earlier this week I visited the Olsen Ave Stormwater Network Renewals project at Mangawhai Heads to see how work is progressing.

The project includes over 350 metres of new stormwater pipe, along with 10 new manholes and catchpits, helping to address long-standing stormwater issues in the area.

At the eastern end of the road, a pilot hole is being drilled down the hill with a drilling head then being brought back up to make an underground hole for the new pipes. The current set up is a synthetic flexiflume, so this will be a major mprovement.

Thanks to Olsen Ave residents for your patience while the project is delivered, and to Pipeline and Infrastructure Ltd who are delivering the project.

This will be a positive step toward better stormwater management for the local area.
