Great to catch up with the Downer, Harrison Contracting and TMNZ team working on the Victoria Street road rehabilitation earlier this week.
Work started on 17 March and is expected to be completed by 31 May with a budget of approximately $885,000.
The works schedule includes -
Drainage upgrades that include -Replacing all SW sumps on either side of carriageway
Install 300 diameter SW line and new manhole
200mm of GAP 40 stabilised with 1.5% cement
250mm GAP65 stabilised with 5% cement
New vehicle crossings to tie into the new design profile
Grade 3/5 chip seal surfacing & new line marking
It will be good to see this notoriously bumpy section of road properly fixed and future proofed.
