Stopped in at Pine Beach to see progress on the ablution block upgrade out at Taharoa Domain with Councillor Snow Tane.
Kai Iwi Lakes is one of our district’s special places, and it's important we invest in the facilities that make it a great experience for locals and visitors alike.
The upgrade includes a full refurbishment of the toilet and shower block, with new cubicles, water-saving fittings, LED lighting and more durable surfaces. The project also includes new water tanks at both Pine Beach and Lake Waikare to support the facilities into the future.
The work is well underway, with completion looking set for November, ahead of the summer season.
Looking forward to seeing the finished result and another improvement that helps keep Kai Iwi Lakes one of Northland's favourite destinations.
