I attended the commencement of the new Pahi playground build this morning, Pahi sure turned on a beautiful winter's morning for the event.
Spread over 350m2, the new playground is designed to be safer, more accessible and packed with opportunities for imaginative play, the new playground – to be located near the current site, replaces the existing play area and will make room for essential water infrastructure for the public toilets.
The new playground has been designed to suit a wide range of ages and reflect the stunning coastal environment in which it sits.
Featuring natural play elements and a nautical theme, it includes a timber swing set with infant and duo rope swing, timber climbing wall, swinging boat, seesaw, dual sand diggers, mud kitchen, and free-play features that encourage kids to explore and have fun. The playgound’s main feature will be a 3-metre-high lookout tower with a tube slide.
Construction started today and is expected to take 3 to 4 weeks to complete.
