It was a privilege to cohost an India–New Zealand Trade & Investment Event in Dargaville last night, alongside the Consulate General of India in Auckland and our regional economic development agency Northland NZ.
It was a fantastic evening, with local business representatives, economic development professionals and representatives from the Indian Consulate coming together to discuss how we can strengthen trade, investment and innovation links between India and Northland. It was encouraging to hear about the opportunities for businesses in our district and to showcase some of the great things happening here in Kaipara. We also heard valuable insights from speakers joining us online from Hyderabad, one of India's leading innovation Hubs.
My thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions. A special thank you to Consul General of India in Auckland, Dr Madan Mohan Sethi, for his ongoing enthusiasm for strengthening business, trade and investment relationships between India and New Zealand. I look forward to welcoming him back to our district in the future.
