Had the pleasure of spending the first evening of my mayoralty at the Kaiwaka Volunteer Fire Brigade honours night. Kaipara District contains eight fire brigades - Mangawhai, Kaiwaka, Maungaturoto, Paparoa, Tinopai, Ruawai, Dargaville and Te Kopuru. The dedicated volunteers at all the brigades give their time to help the community when most in need.Thank you for your service.
